How long does it take a home builder to finish a new house in Caversham?

A straightforward detached house usually takes nine to twelve months on site once groundworks begin. Sloping plots, tricky access or deep foundations add to that. The design and planning stage before it can take just as long again, so build that into your timings.

Can you build from an architect's drawings I already have?

Yes, and most of our new build work starts that way. We will read the drawings and the structural engineer's calculations first, then flag anything that will be awkward or costly to build before you commit. Some things draw beautifully and build badly.

Do you take on self build projects around Reading?

Yes. Some clients want the whole thing handed over finished, others want us for the shell and want to do their own second fix. Both work. We agree in writing where our part stops so there is no argument later about who is doing what.
